Hey Y'all Yes, it's true... many changes are in store! (yea I know- waaaaay overdue!) As you see, I've totally revamped my website since so many of you have asked me to share more about my twirlings out & about in the world. Look closely at the photos on each page- they're montages of all sorts of cool people & places! I'll be writing updates as I travel & adding photos to the gallery. So don't be a stranger... & let me know what you think! So...onto the new CD... YES- IT"S DONE! And I'm so proud of it. My dear friend Grammy award winning producer Norman Blain has been bugging me for years "Annie you have a gift for that type of music" (who knows... I hope so... in any case...thanks Norm for the love & the prodding) The CD is totally instrumental, with each cut featuring Native North American or other indigenous flutes. (Balinese, Slovakian Fujara, Bamboo, Native Drone Flute) I'm accompanied on 1 cut "Journey to Katahdin" by Glen Velez (known as THE best Frame Drummer in the world!); the AMAZING Vernon David totally gives me chills with his contributions on Cello, My bro Tom Prasada Rao the Musical Wizard is joining me on Electric Sitar & Violin; and in addition to flutes, I'm playing piano, guitar, kalimba (African thumb piano), Digeradoo, Bullroarer, Gongs, Bells, Steel Drum... While the recording was in progress, many massage therapist friends requested that I make it an hour long...so I did. It's a meditative recording meant to put your head & body in a wonderful space. I so hope it speaks to Y'all... it was a true labor of love! It's being duplicated by Oasis as I write. I'm hoping it'll be available before I blast off on my journey & tour to Eastern Europe just after Labor Day... It will be available at CD Baby via the links on this site. So... please check back!
