High Tea Fashion Show & Benefit
Earth & Spirit Garden Gallery, 5425 Maria Drive, St James City, Florida
Press-Release 10/18/13 For Immediate Release St. James City – The fourth annual High Tea Fashion Show will be taking place Saturday, November 9th at Earth & Spirit Garden Gallery, 1pm – 3:30pm and will benefit the Pine Island Food Pantry. It is an amazing event as so many people contribute their time and energy to the day. Tables draped in white table clothes, carefully set with unique teacups, saucers, and tea pots in the beautiful garden setting of Earth & Spirit. The menu this year consists of Mango Nut Bread, vegetable skewers, scones w/local jams, and shortbread cookies dipped in dark chocolate, along with a variety of organic fair trade teas. “We really appreciated the event last year and we are looking forward to and need your support again this year,” said Dave Gruser, president of the Pine Island Food Pantry. Setting the stage this year will be live music performed by flutist, Annie Wenz. The fashion show is always engaging and fun, facilitated by local designer and artist, Deb Z. This year’s fashions will include Deb’s new line of sustainable clothing made from bamboo fabric along with organic cotton creations from fair trade companies such as Global Girlfriends and Indika. The “silent auction” always draws a lot of attention with generous donations from local restaurants, shops, and artisans – auction chances are purchased for $1 each! All proceeds are donated to our own Pine Island Food Pantry. Non-perishable food items will also be collected for the pantry during the day. Tickets for the event are $15 in advance and can be purchased at Earth & Spirit Garden Gallery or by emailing earthandspirit1@earthlink.net. If you would like to donate an item for the silent auction, please call 239-282-1025 or stop by the gallery at 5425 Maria Drive, St. James City, FL.
